About

Dating back 1500 years, Chess is one of the oldest games in the world. It consists of 600 million players globally and is still growing. Chess saw a massive emergence in 2020 during the pandemic with the release of Netflix’s, The Queens Gambit, which set a record with 62 million households in one month.

Today, tens of millions of players are playing daily on the top chess platforms. Despite the global popularity of the game, entertainment and media have not exploited the massive chess audience.

The United States of Chess brings a look at chess like never before. While Chess is perceived as a game of sophistication and privilege, the true culture is filled with trash talkers, child prodigies, insane parents, gamblers, chess boxing, and of course, Grandmasters.

Chess Kings has obtained the exclusive broadcast rights for the International Chess Festival held annually in Las Vegas. This premier event showcases players of all levels from across the United States. All ICF events are sanctioned under the guidelines of US Chess and FIDE.

US Chess is the sanctioning organization for Chess in the United States. USC is driven to continue spreading chess across America through high level competitions as well as education.

The International Chess Federation or World Chess Federation, commonly referred to by its French acronym FIDE, is an international organization based in Switzerland that connects the various national chess federations and acts as the governing body of international chess competitions.
